One of my most satisfying jobs was meant to be a single five hour clean. The customer had broken her back two years earlier, and the house had not had a proper clean since. Dust everywhere, grease on every kitchen surface, limescale all over the bathroom.
The kitchen alone took two and a half hours. Cupboard doors, handles, hob, worktops, every jar and pot on the side, the kettle, the toaster, the skirting and the floor. By the end of the day I had done the kitchen, hallway, bathroom and bedroom.
She did not mind that the rest was not finished. She booked two more visits so I could work through the whole house. The next morning she sent me this:
"You have transformed the space and lifted my spirits."

How a reset clean works
- A free look first. We come and see your home so we can agree realistic hours. No surprises.
- A clear total. £20 an hour, and we tell you roughly how many hours before we start.
- One visit or several. Do it in one go, or room by room over a few visits to suit your budget.
- Then keep it there. Most people move on to a weekly or fortnightly clean, so it never builds up again.

What is a reset clean?
A reset clean is a first, thorough clean for a home that has got away from you. We work through it properly, room by room, until it is back to the Sparkle & Press standard. Then a regular weekly or fortnightly visit keeps it there. It costs £20 an hour.
How long does a reset clean take?
It depends on the size of your home and the build up. A kitchen that has not been properly cleaned for a long time can take two and a half hours on its own. We come and look first, free, and agree the hours with you before we start.
Can a reset clean be split over several visits?
Yes. One customer booked a five hour clean, loved the rooms we finished, and booked two more three hour visits to get through the rest. Eleven hours in total, spread out to suit her.
Do you do end of tenancy cleans?
Yes, quoted individually after we have seen the property. We will tell you honestly what can be done in the time.
Do I need to tidy up before you arrive?
No. You do not need to clean for the cleaner. We are not there to judge, we are there to help. If your home has got away from you, a reset clean is exactly what it is for.
